Zone Applications
When installing heated towel ladders, it's important to follow the guidelines set out in the Australian and New Zealand AS/NZS 3000:2018, which defines bathroom zones and the IP ratings required for electrical items in each zone. The illustration shown here is a guide only; for full details please refer to the Australian and New Zealand Standard AS/NZS 3000:2018,
Zone 0: Inside the bath, shower, or basin. Electrical items must have a minimum IP67 rating and be low voltage
Zone 1: Area above the bath or shower tray. Requires IPX5 rating, low voltage, and a transformer located beyond Zone 2. Only low-voltage products are suitable in this zone.
Zone 2: Extends 600mm outside the bath or shower area. Electrical products must have a minimum IPX4 rating. All Code Heated Towel Rails are suitable for use in Zone 2.
Zone 3: Any area outside Zones 0, 1, or 2. No IP rating required

Can be installed anywhere in your bathroom that is more than 600mm from a direct water source. Protected from limited dust ingress and low pressure water jets from any direction.
Hidden or Exposed Wiring
Our Code Heated Towel Ladders offer both compatiable with Exposed or Hidden Wiring setups.
Hidden: Wires are installed in the wall. Exposed: Wires are exposed on the outside of the wall and visible.
